Eric has worked as a computer consultant since 1988. He began his career as a database programmer but moved to a Network Technician as he entered his MBA program. As the lead technician at Academic Computing, Humboldt State University, he managed 17 computer labs where he was responsible for virus protection and lab security. While completing his MBA, he began teaching computer classes at College of the Redwoods. His summers were spent consulting for Banks in Santa Rosa and Eureka. After moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, he began a 3 year stint as a Field Service Engineer being outsourced to National Semi Conductor, Maxtor, and Kaiser Permanente Hospital. Realizing that his passion was teaching, Eric returned to teaching at Silicon Valley College. After 4 months he was moved to the SVC campus in Walnut Creek, CA as the IT Director. Eric then left SVC to work at SiteRock. SiteRock allowed him to use his MBA talents where he was asked to help write, edit, and enforce the over 2000 page Security Policy. Evenings and weekends were spent teaching Microsoft classes at San Francisco State University. An opportunity to teach within the US and around the world allowed Eric to begin his current 15 year stretch teaching for training facilities and military installations.
